Covid-19 update

Vaccinations are up and cases are down—but it’s vital to realize COVID-19 will be with us for a long time to come. What does that mean for St. George’s?

The club must maintain our 25-person limit (outdoors) according to Phase II guidelines. When all courts are full, that’s a maximum of 18 people playing, up to three staff and four waiting for a court change.

The following is also still in effect:

  • No loitering or waiting on the grounds for your court to open or hanging around afterwards.

  • The deck will not open until later phases.

  •  St. Georges still requires wearing masks in the clubhouse. Masks are recommended when you can’t maintain a minimum physical distance of 2 metres (6 feet) from others.

What does the next phase look like?
Phase III will represent a significant change at St. Georges. The reopening plan suggests “up to 50 people outdoors without social distancing for… practices, games and league play.” Hopefully, at some point in July, we will be in a position to start up our social events, open the deck, and look at walk-on events.
