Are the courts OPEN or CLOSED today?

It’s a question we all have. It’s raining outside your home, but what about at the club? It rained yesterday, are the courts open this morning? Over the past couple of years, the club hosts have been posting “courts are closed”, “courts are open” messages to Facebook. It was clear from the comments, Facebook users really appreciated the updates.

With the introduction of our new website, we took the opportunity to bring this information to everyone.

You will find the new court status description on our website, towards the top of the home page. The description is next to the St. George’s website logo on the left margin at the top of the page. As of writing this news item, the status says “Courts 3 and 5 will be open by 11, and courts 1, 2, and 4 will be open at 12. Jun 9, 2020 10:56AM”.

Our goal is to make the website the PRIMARY location for court open and court closed updates. Time permitting, the club host might also post open/closed message to Facebook and to Instagram.

The website posting may not always be timed perfectly with your information needs. If the message has not been updated yet in the morning, it’s possible decisions about the condition of the courts are still being made. If you have an early morning court time and you are deciding whether to leave the house or not, you can always call the club to get the most current, up-to-date information. As soon as decisions are made about the status of the courts, the club hosts will post the status on the website.

We are still fine tuning our timing and messaging, so let us know how things are looking from your point of view and we will try to adjust where we can make improvements.
